Support Topics in Interdisciplinary Artificial Intelligence through Generative AI expertise and student communication at the University of Ottawa’s Main Campus. Work in English during Winter 2027.
This Teaching Assistant supports MIA5150, Section D, in the Faculty of Engineering. The course focuses on interdisciplinary artificial intelligence, requiring knowledge of Transformers, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and multimodal AI. You will assist students, grade work, and proctor course activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students during tutorials, labs, and office hours
Grade course work for enrolled students
Proctor scheduled course activities
Communicate effectively with students in English
Requirements:
Complete equivalent graduate-level Generative AI and LLM coursework
Earn a grade of A or higher
Understand Transformers, prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and multimodal AI
Use Python and modern AI/ML frameworks
Know LLM APIs and deployment frameworks
Apply Generative AI, LLM, Python, and communication skills while supporting MIA5150 students at the University of Ottawa.
