Turbomachinery Category Specialist Procurement

Turbomachinery procurement specialists manage OEM sourcing, supplier relationships, and commercial strategies across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. This role combines analysis with hands-on fleet support.
At TC Energy, the Category Specialist manages gas turbine, power turbine, compressor, and electric motor drive procurement. The role covers aftermarket parts, maintenance, repairs, and overhaul services across business units. You will develop sourcing strategies, negotiate agreements, and translate market intelligence into recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage OEM portfolios and related repair and overhaul suppliers
Develop sourcing strategies, capacity reservations, and commercial structures
Negotiate equipment, master, amendment, and service agreements
Lead EOI, SOI, and RFx evaluation processes
Monitor delivery, costs, quality, turnaround, and corrective actions
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in a related field
Six to eight years of progressive related experience
Equivalent combinations of education and experience considered
Strong commercial acumen and lifecycle cost analysis skills
Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and consensus-building skills
