Head of Data Engineering Strategy

Lead enterprise data architecture and roadmap strategy at Ambyint, using cloud platforms and DataOps in a hybrid working environment. Guide reliable data products.
As Head of Data Engineering, you will lead vision, execution, and technical standards for Ambyint’s artificial lift optimization platform. You will manage data engineers and analysts while partnering with executives, Product, Data Science, and software engineering leaders. The mandate includes scalable architecture, analytics, streaming and batch capabilities, governance, security, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Set enterprise data architecture and multi-year platform roadmaps
Lead, mentor, recruit, and develop high-performing data teams
Align engineering priorities with executive and business goals
Drive self-service reporting, dashboards, and enterprise data models
Establish DataOps, governance, lineage, and metadata standards
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field
8+ years in data engineering and 3+ leadership years
Experience scaling high-volume IoT, streaming, and batch platforms
Expertise with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, dbt, or Airflow
Executive communication and stakeholder management skills
Shape Ambyint’s data strategy through architecture leadership, team development, governance, and scalable industrial data platforms.
