Assess employment barriers and develop customized plans as a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist with CBI Health in a hybrid Barrie-area role. Support clients pursuing work.
Reporting to the Vocational Rehabilitation Service Lead, you will collaborate with clients, employers, and an interdisciplinary team. Your work will focus on employability skills, vocational pursuits, and workforce reintegration for clients facing employment barriers. The coverage area includes Barrie and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and prioritize a vocational rehabilitation caseload
Identify employment barriers, goals, and service needs
Develop and evaluate customized employment plans
Teach research, interview, practical, and soft skills
Build employer contacts and support employment placements
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in any field
Registered Rehabilitation Professional designation considered an asset
Certified Disability Management Professional qualification considered an asset
Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional qualification considered an asset
Return to Work Disability Manager qualification considered an asset
