Fluid Mechanics Teaching Assistant

Support Introduction to Fluid Mechanics students on Main Campus through English communication, grading, and in-person academic assistance.
The University of Ottawa seeks Teaching Assistants for CVG2116 in the Department of Civil Engineering. This specific-course appointment supports the Winter 2027 semester, with five positions available. The work includes student contact, grading, proctoring, and other assigned duties for a course expected to enroll 95 students.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 60 hours of contact with students
Complete 60 hours of course grading
Perform six hours of examination proctoring
Complete four hours of other assigned duties
Requirements:
Excellent background knowledge in Introduction to Fluid Mechanics
Excellent oral communication skills in English
P.Eng. or EIT preferred
Bilingualism considered an asset
Complete mandatory legislated University training
