This Registered Practical Nurse role provides nursing care according to medical requirements and professional practice. You will collaborate with Registered Nurses, physicians, external partners, and other care professionals. The position supports resident needs, communicates changes in status, and follows applicable nursing home requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement AgeCare policies and procedures with Registered Nurses
Provide direction to Personal Support Workers
Notify physicians about significant resident status changes
Coordinate care with health care team members
Participate in shift reports about resident changes
Requirements:
Knowledge of geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing
Understanding of applicable health care legislation and regulations
Knowledge of nursing administration and activation
Current College of Nurses of Ontario Certificate of Competence
Membership in good standing with the College of Nurses Ontario
Bring professional nursing care, resident communication, and team direction to AgeCare’s long-term care communities across Ontario.
