Prepare nutritious meals as a Part Time Cook at Aspira Kingsmere Retirement Living, using recipes, dietary requirements, and portion control. The schedule totals 21 hours bi-weekly.
Working with residents’ dietary needs, preferences, and cultural considerations, you will help create enjoyable dining experiences. This Cook role requires hands-on kitchen experience and attention to food quality. You will support residents’ health and well-being through high-quality meals, snacks, and reliable service.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare meals and snacks using recipes and production sheets
Follow menu guidelines, dietary requirements, and portion control
Maintain proper food temperatures and high quality standards
Monitor received food supplies and recommend corrective action
Assume departmental operations when the team leader is absent
Requirements:

Grade 12 minimum education required
Valid Safe Food Handling and/or Smart Serve certificate
Cooking experience in institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality settings
Legal eligibility to work in Canada or valid permit
Successful Vulnerable Sector Check required
