Mathematics Course Coordinator

Coordinate Mathematics seminars, tutorials, or labs at Brock University while applying teaching and research experience in Mathematics or Statistics.
Reporting to the Department Chair or Course Instructor, the Course Coordinator oversees sections for a particular course. The position coordinates Teaching Assistants, Lab Demonstrators, and Marker-Graders. It also supports marking schemes and assignment or examination marking. Applicants need a PhD in Mathematics or a related discipline, while applicants with an MSc in Mathematics or Statistics may be considered without PhD applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee seminar, tutorial, or lab sections
Coordinate Teaching Assistants, Lab Demonstrators, and Marker-Graders
Hold meetings with assigned instructional staff
Assist with preparation of marking schemes
Coordinate assignment and examination marking
Requirements:
PhD in Mathematics or related discipline
MSc in Mathematics or Statistics may be considered
Prior teaching or research experience in Mathematics or Statistics
Evidence of effective undergraduate university teaching
Letters of reference and course or performance evaluations
Support Brock University course delivery through Mathematics coordination, instructional meetings, marking organization, and effective undergraduate teaching.
