Long-Term Care Cook

Prepare meals for AgeCare residents while maintaining safe, sanitary work areas and supporting a person-centered long-term care home. Work Tuesday through Saturday, 10:30am to 6:30pm.
As Cook, you will ensure proper meals are prepared and served on time in the long-term care residence. You will check special diet orders for new admissions when required and respond to resident or family concerns. The role may include directing Food Services Workers and assuming responsibility for department operations when required.
Key Responsibilities:

Respond to resident and family concerns appropriately
Requirements:
Prior Cook experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity
Current provincial Safe Food Handling Certificate
Minimum public-school education required
High school education preferred
Diploma, certificate, or equivalent in quality food preparation and production
Bring cooking, food safety, and resident-focused service skills to AgeCare's long-term care residence as a Cook.
