Prepare nutritious meals at Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre while supporting patient-focused service through food preparation and sanitation. This temporary part-time position includes days, evenings, and weekends.
As a Food Service I with Alberta Health Services, you will support the Nutrition Food Service team. Your work helps provide quality meal service to patients, residents, staff, visitors, and the community. Duties follow established standards, procedures, guidelines, and menus.
Key Responsibilities:

Package and portion food items according to established standards
Prepare food using set guidelines and menus
Serve meals to patients and customers
Clean and sanitize equipment, dishes, tables, and serving areas
Perform routine patient food service tasks
Requirements:

Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
Ability to lift food, supplies, and equipment up to 46 pounds
Ability to push and pull meal carts up to 250 pounds
Ability to stand and walk throughout shifts
Customer service or food service experience preferred
Support Alberta Health Services patient care through meal preparation, service, portioning, and sanitation at Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre.
