Founding Quality Engineering Lead

Build Knotch’s quality function from zero as a hands-on QA Manager, fully remote in Canada with Eastern Time preferred. Shape AI product testing.
This founding leader will create automation frameworks, suites, processes, and a QA team supporting every product. You will define tool strategy, establish coverage metrics, and guide quality across engineering and product. The work includes manual, exploratory, performance, regression, smoke, and sanity testing in various environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish scalable test automation frameworks from scratch
Recommend frameworks and maintain automated scenarios
Perform manual, exploratory, performance, and regression testing
Define coverage metrics and report automation progress
Collaborate with product managers and software engineers
Requirements:
Eight-plus years in QA engineering, including leadership experience
Proven framework-building and automation tool strategy experience
Scalable scripts executed in Agile or Scrum environments
Manual and automated API testing, including Postman
Strong communication, mentorship, and distributed-team leadership skills
Create Knotch’s quality foundation through framework design, test strategy, coverage reporting, and hands-on engineering leadership.
