Earthquake Engineering Teaching Assistant
University of Ottawa
Teach and grade Earthquake Engineering in person at the University of Ottawa’s Main Campus during the 2027 Winter Semester.
This CUPE teaching assistant assignment supports CVG 5155 in the Department of Civil Engineering. The work includes student contact, grading, proctoring, and other specified duties. Two positions are available for the January 1 to April 30, 2027 period.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 60 hours of contact with students
Complete 60 hours of grading
Conduct six hours of proctoring
Perform four hours of other assigned work
Requirements:
PhD qualification is required
Excellent background knowledge in Earthquake Engineering
Excellent oral communication skills in English
PEng or EIT designation is an asset
Bilingualism is an asset
Support CVG 5155 students through Earthquake Engineering instruction, grading, proctoring, and clear English communication.
