Senior Recreation Therapist Geriatric Care

Lead therapeutic recreation services at Willow Square Continuing Care Center, applying clinical expertise and evidence-based practice with seniors in Fort McMurray. Support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being through meaningful leisure activities.
As a Recreation Therapist II, you will lead planning, delivery, and evaluation of therapeutic recreation services. You will coordinate individualized and group interventions, document care and outcomes, and align services with care plans and standards. The position includes clinical consultation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate recreation interventions
Coordinate programs aligned with individual care plans
Document client care, treatment progress, and outcomes
Design inclusive, age appropriate, culturally responsive programs
Collaborate with teams, families, and caregivers
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or related studies
Active or eligible Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association registration
Minimum three years' related clinical experience
Provide evidence-based, patient-and family-centred clinical practice
Driver's license and vehicle required
