Director Mid-Market M&A Advisory
RBC
Lead Mid-Market M&A advisory at RBC in Montréal, applying transaction execution and client relationship skills with occasional Quebec travel. Bilingual service is required.
As Director, you will support pitch development, originate mandates, and execute divestitures, acquisitions, buyouts, and carveouts. The role combines technical expertise, project management, and client relationship management within RBC’s Corporate Client Group. You will lead small deal teams while advising private companies and collaborating across RBC.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Directors in originating, pitching, and winning M&A mandates
Advise business owners through negotiations and transaction closings
Manage mandates from origination through close
Coordinate with Commercial Banking, Wealth Management, and Capital Markets
Mentor Associate Directors and Analysts on deal teams
Requirements:
Bilingual English and French communication skills
Five-plus years executing private company M&A transactions
Understanding of Canadian accounting, valuation, legal, and tax principles
Strong networking, communication, and project management skills
Willingness to travel within Quebec as needed
Bring Mid-Market transaction leadership, valuation knowledge, and trusted client advice to RBC’s Montréal M&A team.
