Software Development Engineering Manager

Lead software architecture, team development, and technical delivery remotely across Canada for iTel’s business technology environment. Apply hands-on engineering judgment daily.
As Manager, Software Development, you will lead developers while overseeing secure, reliable, scalable applications. Partner with Product Owners, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to translate operational needs into maintainable solutions. Guide Agile delivery, technical standards, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop software developers through regular feedback
Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Guide architecture, design, integration, and application maintenance
Establish coding, testing, security, and documentation standards
Coordinate deployments and critical application issue resolution
Requirements:
Degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
At least seven years delivering enterprise software applications
At least three years managing technical development teams
Experience partnering with Product Owners and business stakeholders
Knowledge of architecture, databases, APIs, and secure coding
Bring software leadership, Agile delivery, and technical depth to iTel’s remote development organization across Canada.
