Senior Aerospace Procurement Buyer
Airbus Helicopters
Lead aerospace procurement in Fort Erie, Ontario, using supplier negotiation and SAP knowledge to keep materials moving for production. Support Airbus Helicopters Canada Limited through proactive purchasing coordination.
As Senior Buyer, you will report to the Purchasing Manager and coordinate procurement across multiple departments. The work includes purchase orders, supplier relationships, inventory management, and material readiness. You will help maintain product quality, pricing accuracy, and payment and delivery terms.
Key Responsibilities:
Place and manage purchase orders through MRP or manual requisitions
Negotiate supplier pricing, quantities, quality, and delivery timelines
Coordinate material planning, scheduling, and production availability
Manage shortages, backorders, expedited shipments, and inventory usage
Maintain supplier compliance, forecasts, records, and corrective actions
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in business or supply chain
Minimum eight to ten years’ supply chain experience
Ability to lead projects and support cross-functional teams
Technical documentation, drawings, and specifications comprehension
Strong communication, judgment, detail, and independent working skills
