Practice broad community general surgery at Chilliwack General Hospital, including elective and emergent endoscopy, within Fraser Health Authority. The role offers a 1:6 call schedule.
Fraser Health Authority seeks a general surgeon to assume a retiring surgeon’s established practice. The successful applicant will undertake community general surgery, access operating rooms and endoscopy days, and may participate in Chilliwack’s Virtual Breast Clinic. Clinical preceptorship, academic teaching days, and surgical resident mentorship are expected through affiliations with UBC and SFU.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake broad community general surgery
Provide elective and emergent endoscopy
Participate in the 1:6 call schedule
Provide clinical preceptorship for medical trainees
Participate in academic teaching days
Requirements:
General surgeon eligible with CPSBC
Eligible for FRCSC
Eligible for CMPA
Expected clinical faculty application with UBC Orthopaedics
Ability to participate in teaching and mentorship
Bring general surgery, endoscopy, and teaching expertise to Chilliwack General Hospital’s Fraser Health surgical group.
