Hydro One Lines Operations Manager

Hydro One seeks a Front Line Manager in Bancroft to direct lines crews, contractor work, safety, and distribution operations.
This manager supervises subordinate supervisors and crews of tradespersons working on distribution equipment. Responsibilities include assigning work, reviewing methods, coordinating resources, monitoring performance, and administering applicable policies. You will also address personnel matters, oversee apprentice training, and maintain relationships with public and outside organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Review assignments and field-check distribution work in progress
Recommend corrective actions, feedback, recognition, and performance responses
Coordinate priorities and resources as conditions change
Administer outside lines resources, tenders, awards, and invoices
Provide section activity data and reports to supervisors
Requirements:
More than six and up to eight years’ supervisory experience
Experience in relief supervision or Union Trades Supervisor Level 2
Ability to organize large crews
Knowledge of performance reviews, collective agreement issues, and delegation
Ability to coordinate diplomatically with internal and external forces
