Global Technology Communications Director

Fastly seeks a seasoned communications leader to shape technology narratives, media relations, and reputation strategy across a distributed global team.
As Senior Director, PR and Communications, you report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and lead Fastly’s global program. You will secure tier one business, financial, technology, and trade coverage while connecting external PR with go to market and internal communications. The position supports hybrid offices in San Francisco, Denver, and New York, or remote work within the US.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and implement global PR and communications strategy
Localize press strategy with regional leads and agencies
Protect reputation through proactive issues and crisis communications
Support executives with messaging, speaking platforms, and customer communications
Manage global budgets, targets, benchmarks, and agency accountability
Requirements:
10+ years across enterprise technology, cloud, infrastructure, or cybersecurity
Deep media relations and corporate PR expertise
Distributed team management across AMERS, EMEA, and APJ
Experience aligning PR, go to market, and employee communications
Sound judgment handling press inquiries under tight deadlines
Use technology communications, media strategy, executive advising, and reputation management experience to strengthen Fastly’s global narrative.
