Lead compliance across Sagard’s alternative asset management platform, using regulatory judgment and AI-enabled processes. Work from Montreal, Toronto, or New York.
The Director, Compliance supports Sagard affiliates across Canada, the United States, and international jurisdictions. This senior role covers SEC-registered advisers, Canadian registrants, private funds, and alternative strategies. You will help strengthen programs, support transactions, and advise executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead compliance programs for Sagard affiliates and registrants
Maintain manuals, codes, supervisory procedures, and policies
Direct annual reviews, reports, filings, and regulatory examinations
Advise on products, transactions, conflicts, marketing, and valuation
Coordinate cross-border compliance matters and training
Requirements:

Seven to twelve years of relevant regulatory experience
Experience with OSC, AMF, or SEC-registered advisers
Strong Investment Advisers Act and SEC rules knowledge
Experience managing examinations and regulatory inquiries
AI fluency, communication skills, and practical judgment
