Senior Design Systems Engineer

Build Vention’s unified design system in Montreal, combining TypeScript and React expertise with a hybrid work model. Connect design, code, and production.
As a Senior Product Design Engineer, you will shape shared foundations for Platform, Web, HMI, and Marketing products. Your work includes tokens, theming, component architecture, and accessible interfaces. You will collaborate with frontend developers and designers while planning migration from current UI kits. The system will also support AI-assisted production workflows using tools such as Claude.
Key Responsibilities:
Co-own Vention’s unified design system across four product areas
Align design and code workflows for production changes
Build coded components and patterns with frontend developers
Plan migration from current user interface kits
Review interface work for design fidelity
Requirements:
Significant hands-on experience building design systems
Expertise in TypeScript, React, CSS, and accessible primitives
Experience shipping and versioning npm component libraries
Fluency with Figma, Variables, Storybook, and automated testing
Clear communication and documented design decisions
Bring design systems, React, TypeScript, accessibility, and Figma expertise to Vention’s production-focused product engineering work.
