Calgary Transportation Infrastructure Engineer

Calgary transportation infrastructure projects need an engineer skilled in geometric design, project management, and multidisciplinary delivery. Urban Systems offers this office-based opportunity in its established Calgary office.
As a Transportation Design Engineer, you will work on urban streets, rural highways, and active transportation connections. The position requires a Civil Engineering graduate with at least eight years of progressive transportation engineering experience. You will prepare designs, contracts, estimates, reports, schedules, budgets, and proposals while supporting clients and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design urban streets, rural highways, and active transportation connections
Develop concepts, detailed designs, tender documents, and contracts
Coordinate transportation practitioners and multidisciplinary design teams
Manage project work plans, schedules, budgets, and quality assurance
Guide junior engineers and designers through project delivery
Requirements:
Civil Engineering graduate with eight years of progressive experience
APEGA registration or eligibility as Professional Engineer or Licensee
Competency in transportation design, implementation, delivery, and reporting
Strong project management and professional communication skills
Valid Class 5 licence and ability to travel throughout Alberta
