Civil Engineer Substation Design Calgary
ENTRUST Solutions Group
Lead high-voltage substation civil design with ENTRUST Canada in Calgary, using engineering judgment and technical guidance. Travel may support construction site visits.
This Civil Engineer role leads and mentors the substation civil team while reviewing designs for compliance. You will collaborate across disciplines and prepare design documents, cost estimates, material take offs, scopes, and design packages. The work supports earthworks, foundations, geotechnical, and structural engineering for electric power delivery systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor the substation civil team
Review designs for compliance and promote design safety
Prepare DBMs, EDS documents, estimates, and material take offs
Create IFC drawings, construction scopes, and design packages
Support construction, close-out data, and client relationships
Requirements:
Utility industry experience designing high-voltage substation facilities
Minimum five years of work experience
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Active APEGA membership and required P.Eng designation
Broad civil competency across earthworks, foundations, geotechnical, and structural disciplines
