Senior Software Development Engineer VPC Lattice

Scale VPC Lattice networking at Amazon as a Senior Software Development Engineer focused on distributed systems and control-plane reliability.
Within AWS Utility Computing and EC2 Networking, you will help develop the next generation of VPC Lattice and PrivateLink. This senior role centers on scaling control-plane architecture, evolving data paths safely, and solving complex networking problems across service boundaries. You will turn loosely defined goals into shippable milestones while influencing multi-year architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect control-plane systems for fast, consistent, reliable fleet growth
Lead ambiguous technical problems from goals through deliverable milestones
Align decisions across EC2 Networking, PrivateLink, and UC teams
Strengthen observability, failure isolation, and safe deployment practices
Mentor engineers on designs, reviews, and distributed-systems tradeoffs
Requirements:
Five or more years of professional software development experience
Five or more years programming with a software language
Five or more years leading system design or architecture
Experience mentoring, serving as technical lead, or leading teams
Full software development lifecycle experience preferred
