Bridge Engineer Red Deer Infrastructure

Lead bridge infrastructure delivery in Red Deer with design oversight, project management, and consultant coordination across Alberta Transportation projects.
As a Bridge Engineer with Transportation and Economic Corridors, you will coordinate bridge and bridge-sized culvert design, construction, rehabilitation, and replacement. The permanent position provides engineering leadership while ensuring compliance with codes, standards, policies, regulations, and technical requirements. You will assess existing structures and support regional infrastructure planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate bridge and culvert design, construction, rehabilitation, and replacement
Review designs and oversee consultants and contractors
Monitor construction safety, quality, timelines, and fiscal responsibility
Assess existing structures and support regional planning
Coordinate consultant selection and project delivery stages
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Eligibility for P.Eng. designation from APEGA
Five years of related experience
Bridge preliminary engineering experience and project management knowledge
Fifteen percent travel and potential security screening
