Shape competency and qualification programs for Equinox Gold's Greenstone Mine in Geraldton, Ontario. Lead training governance across a remote, site-based operation.
The Training Superintendent reports to the Health, Safety, Security Training Manager and leads the site's complete training function. Responsibilities span mine, process plant, maintenance, and support operations, with accountability for strategy, governance, delivery, and improvement. The role ensures employees and contractors meet knowledge, qualification, and competency expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish training objectives, measures, reporting, and effectiveness reviews
Oversee needs analyses, role-based learning, and qualification pathways
Manage budgets, providers, records, funding, and claims
Evaluate programs through field verification, data, audits, and feedback
Partner with leaders to address capability and performance gaps
Requirements:
Eight-plus years of relevant training or operational experience
Five-plus years of leadership or supervisory experience
Strong facilitation, coaching, communication, and relationship-management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning management systems
Training and Health and Safety designations; valid driver's license
Bring analytical leadership and adult-learning knowledge to strengthen competency, qualifications, and training effectiveness at Greenstone Mine.
