This full-time temporary position supports CBC News across the Prairies. You will guide digital storytelling, packaging, and publishing while helping teams connect with local, younger, and new Canadians. The work covers mobile and streaming apps, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platform experiments.
Key Responsibilities:

Interpret audience data for newsroom programming decisions
Provide actionable publishing and packaging feedback
Optimize local stories across photos, graphics, headlines, and framing
Set regional audience targets with executive producers and editors
Support breaking news workflows under pressure
Requirements:

Minimum seven years of journalism experience
Five years of video experience in breaking news
Experience applying audience analytics to editorial decisions
Strong editorial judgment and CBC standards knowledge
University degree or equivalent experience
