Senior Generative AI Scientist

Lead Generative AI validation and enterprise solution development at BMO Financial Group from 100 King Street West. Apply advanced programming and machine learning expertise.
As a Senior Applied AI Scientist, you will work within Model Risk Management, reporting to the Director, Generative and Agentic AI Model Validation. You will design, build, evaluate, and validate AI solutions using Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, AI agents, and cloud technologies. The work supports governance and audit requirements in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Validate Generative AI models and Agentic AI systems
Develop methodologies for emerging AI validation
Build enterprise applications using LLMs and RAG
Design quantitative testing and evaluation
Document validation evidence and technical specifications
Requirements:
Master’s degree in a relevant STEM discipline
Minimum five years’ industry AI and Machine Learning experience
Production or enterprise Generative AI delivery experience
Strong programming and scalable application development skills
Knowledge of Git, testing, code reviews, and quantitative analysis
Bring deep AI expertise, sound judgment, and advanced software skills to BMO’s Generative and Agentic AI validation work.
