Shaft Project Engineer
JDS Energy & Mining Inc.
Support shaft hoist and mine infrastructure projects as a Shaft Project Engineer, coordinating technical work and stakeholders across surface and underground operations.
Reporting to the Shaft Construction Manager, you will support engineering projects spanning ventilation, mine services, backfill, and material management systems. The role combines design review, procurement coordination, project planning, and field inspections. You will work with senior engineers, contractors, suppliers, and NexGen teams to advance project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Review engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and reports
Coordinate procurement packages, clarifications, evaluations, and vendors
Assist cost estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation
Participate in field visits and project inspections
Maintain documentation and communicate project progress
Requirements:
Technical expertise supporting engineering and shaft projects
Strong initiative working without constant guidance
Ability to coordinate internal and external stakeholders
Ability to collaborate with senior engineers and project teams
Commitment to safety regulations and company policies
