Securities Operations Director
The Canada Life Assurance Company
Lead securities dealer operations at Canada Life in Mississauga, overseeing advisor servicing, portfolio manager support, and client operations in a hybrid environment. Shape scalable service delivery through operational leadership and strong controls.
As Director, Securities Operations, you will report to the Vice President, Operations and lead teams supporting IPC One, Private Wealth, and retail advisors. You will manage onboarding, account maintenance, transaction support, specialized processing, operational risk, and business continuity. The mandate includes strengthening service standards, technology adoption, and leadership capability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end securities dealer operations
Support advisor and client onboarding processes
Establish service standards, controls, and escalation practices
Sponsor automation, data, and system improvements
Develop leaders and operational specialists
Requirements:
University degree or equivalent education and experience
10+ years in securities or wealth operations
Experience leading people leaders and multi-team functions
Deep securities dealer and regulatory knowledge
Executive communication and stakeholder influence skills
Bring securities operations leadership, risk judgment, and transformation experience to Canada Life’s advisor and client platform in Mississauga.
