As a Regulatory Policy Specialist, you will work directly with senior management to develop regulatory and legislative policy positions. The position emphasizes regulatory case filings, stakeholder feedback, document controls, and effective communication. You will support proceedings, administrative rulemakings, legislative hearings, and compliance activities across assigned jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop regulatory and legislative policy positions with senior management
Identify key facts and create effective regulatory messages
Screen stakeholder feedback and maintain document controls
Assist witnesses with pre-filed testimony development
Support multiple projects under time constraints
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or bachelor’s degree equivalent
Five to seven years in the regulatory field
Experience dealing specifically with regulatory filings
Strong written and oral communication skills
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
Bring regulatory experience, policy judgment, and organized writing to Xcel Energy’s complex case strategy and filing work.
