Property Field Appraisal Specialist
Gore Mutual Insurance
Assess complex property losses for Gore Mutual remotely in the field, using construction expertise, estimating software, and building code knowledge. Attend Cambridge monthly.
This Property Field Appraisal Specialist supports Claims with large residential and commercial losses. You will inspect damage, prepare estimates, review third-party submissions, and manage tender processes. The work requires clear communication with adjusters, vendors, insureds, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect complex residential and commercial property losses onsite
Scope damage, repair requirements, codes, and estimated costs
Prepare appraisal reports and detailed cost breakdowns
Review estimates and analyze local market conditions
Manage tenders, bids, vendors, and repair quality
Requirements:
Seven-plus years of Claims experience
Five-plus years estimating or adjusting large losses
Experience in restoration contracting, skilled trades, or contracting
Knowledge of building science, materials, and repair methods
Industry-standard estimating software and Microsoft Office experience
