Grade 7/8 French Immersion Teacher

Teach Grade 7/8 French Immersion full time with the Simcoe County District School Board, supporting effective instruction and pupil progress.
This long-term occasional assignment is a 1.0 FTE teaching position under Principal Jamaal Fyffe. The teacher manages assigned classes, prepares teaching plans, evaluates pupil progress, and supports instructional programs. Responsibilities include safety procedures, discipline, reporting, parent meetings, and school administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide effective instruction, training, and evaluation for assigned subjects
Manage classes and report pupil progress to the principal
Prepare required teaching plans and instructional outlines
Maintain safety procedures and consistent disciplinary practices
Complete report cards and participate in parent meetings
Requirements:
Ability to teach assigned Grade 7/8 French Immersion subjects
Ability to perform supervisory and instructional duties assigned by the principal
Ability to cooperate with teachers and school administration
Willingness to complete mandatory Board training before starting
Permission to contact two professional references, including current supervisor
Support Grade 7/8 French Immersion pupils through instruction, evaluation, classroom management, planning, and communication.
