Industrial Automation Controls Specialist

Use industrial automation, PLC programming, and SCADA expertise to support safe, reliable process control operations at Blackwater Mine.
BW Gold’s Process Control Specialist reports to the Supervisor – Electrical & Instrumentation. This permanent site position provides frontline support to maintenance, production, and engineering teams. Work includes Rockwell ControlLogix programming, Aveva Plant SCADA improvements, drive programming, PID loop tuning, and process control troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of process control systems
Provide technical guidance and coaching to site personnel
Perform troubleshooting, programming, and drive installation
Support PID loop tuning and process control understanding
Conduct performance evaluations and improve system performance
Requirements:
Three to five years’ industrial electrical and controls experience
Mineral processing experience preferred
Thorough understanding of PLC process control systems
Network experience with TCPIP, Ethernet IP, and hardware
Proactive, independent, organized, and safety-driven approach
Bring automation, SCADA, troubleshooting, and technical support capabilities to Blackwater Mine’s process control operations.
