Own technical SEO and search strategy remotely for Blacksmith Agency, guiding B2B and growing-brand clients across Canada, South Africa, or the USA.
As SEO Strategist, you lead search for a client portfolio and make strategic decisions. Your work covers technical roadmaps, content priorities, ranking analysis, and AI search visibility. Paid media remains a separate seat, keeping this position focused exclusively on search.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage crawl, indexation, site speed, schema, and architecture
Develop keyword strategies and on-page optimization priorities
Improve visibility across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity
Guide links, local search, and multi-location SEO
Report through GA4 and Search Console; maintain quarterly roadmaps
Requirements:
Three-plus years of hands-on SEO experience
Experience running audits and implementing SEO fixes
Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs or Semrush
Agency experience managing several clients simultaneously
Clear spoken English for live calls with US clients
