Broadcast and IT Technology Specialist

Bring broadcast and IT systems expertise to CBC/Radio-Canada’s full-time on-site team in Toronto, supporting content creation and presentation.
This permanent Senior Broadcast Technologist position works with clients experiencing issues involving studios, control rooms, backend systems, and content creation. You will translate technical problems, provide responsive support, and help introduce virtualization, video-over-IP, and automated workflows. The position serves a national media organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate technical issues for clients and internal partners
Support backend systems, studios, and control rooms
Install and update equipment, software, systems, and facilities
Repair and modify technologies for optimal operating performance
Provide rapid, stable solutions under time-sensitive conditions
Requirements:
Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Broadcast, or related field
General knowledge of networking, IP infrastructure, and relevant software
Exposure to databases, backend systems, or remote server support
Interest in audio, video, and television and radio broadcast networks
English advanced reading, speaking, and writing skills
Use broadcast, IT, virtualization, and client-support capabilities to keep CBC/Radio-Canada content systems operating reliably.
