Manager Generative AI Engineer
Capital One - CA
Build responsible AI systems at Capital One Canada using machine learning, large language models, and Python in a hybrid model.
As a Manager AI Engineer, you will help create AI-powered products for associates and customers. You will work with engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers. Your work will span foundation model training, LLM inference, similarity search, guardrails, evaluation, governance, experimentation, and observability.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI components
Use AWS Ultraclusters, Hugging Face, VectorDBs, and PyTorch
Introduce LLM optimization techniques for production performance
Contribute to foundational AI technical vision and roadmap
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree plus four years developing AI or ML technologies
Master’s degree plus two years developing AI or ML technologies
Four years programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java
Strong engineering, mathematics, hardware, software, and AI foundations
Ability to apply novel research techniques in production
Shape scalable AI infrastructure at Capital One Canada through LLM engineering, optimization, experimentation, and responsible production systems.
