Rust Systems Engineer Cryptography APIs

Use strong Rust expertise to develop cryptographic workflows, REST and gRPC APIs, and scalable services for a non-human identity platform.
As a Backend Software Engineer, you will build systems where TLS, X.509 certificates, identity, and secure communication are central. The position combines backend development with systems programming, asynchronous concurrency, certificate lifecycle management, and transactional persistence. Collaboration spans the Software Architect, Frontend Engineer, and Cloud and Deployment Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement certificate issuance, rotation, and revocation workflows
Develop versioned RESTful and gRPC APIs
Handle transactional workflows and consistency
Design PostgreSQL schemas and optimize queries
Contribute to technical discussions and system decisions
Requirements:
Three to six years of backend development experience
Strong Rust knowledge including ownership and memory safety
Experience with tokio and async/await
Experience building RESTful or gRPC APIs
Understanding of TLS/SSL and certificate management
Bring Rust systems programming, API design, PostgreSQL, and security awareness to identity-focused backend engineering.
