AgeCare Registered Practical Nurse

Provide professional nursing care at AgeCare as a Registered Practical Nurse, supporting residents and directing Personal Support Workers. Work location and home areas follow operational needs.
The Registered Practical Nurse delivers care according to medical requirements and professional nursing practice. Working with the Registered Nurse, this position implements AgeCare policies and procedures. The nurse communicates with physicians, health care partners, and the broader care team while supporting resident needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional nursing care to residents
Implement AgeCare policies and procedures with the Registered Nurse
Liaise with physicians and external health care partners
Notify physicians of significant resident status changes
Direct Personal Support Workers on the care team
Requirements:
Knowledge of geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing
Knowledge of applicable nursing home legislation and regulations
Knowledge of College of Nurses of Ontario standards
Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
Membership in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Bring resident care, clinical communication, and team direction skills to AgeCare as a Registered Practical Nurse.
