Casual School Bus Driver Burns Lake
School District #91 (Nechako Lakes)
Drive school buses in the Burns Lake area using a valid BC Class 2 licence and air brake endorsement. This casual position has no guaranteed hours.
School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) seeks Casual Bus Drivers for regular routes and student transportation. Drivers serve communities including Decker Lake, Francois Lake, Granisle, and Grassy Plains. The work includes curricular and extra-curricular trips, vehicle inspections, and communication with students, parents, and school staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate school buses on regular scheduled routes
Transport students for curricular and extra-curricular trips
Conduct daily inspections and preventative maintenance checks
Communicate positively with students, parents, and school staff
Requirements:
Completion of Grade 12 or Dogwood Certificate
Valid BC Class 2 licence with air brake endorsement
Clean driving record and six months’ Class 2 experience
Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR training
WHMIS 2015, safety procedures, and defensive driving training
Support safe student transportation across Burns Lake communities with school bus operation, inspections, and positive communication.
