Health Care Aide Resident Care

Deliver resident care as a Health Care Aide with The Salvation Army, using personal care skills and safe transfers. This is part time.
The Health Care Aide works under LPN direction and Residential Care Manager supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor resident health information, and follow resident Care Plans. The work supports safe, competent care within scope and The Salvation Army’s mission, values, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with dressing, toileting, bathing, feeding, and transfers
Monitor and document vital signs, measurements, and monthly weights
Report significant physiological and psychological changes to the LPN
Use mechanical lifts and proper body mechanics during transfers
Complete required charting and incident reports
Requirements:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent education and experience
Recognized Health Care Aide program and Medication Assistance Certification
Registration with the Alberta HCA Registry
Standard First Aid, Level C CPR, and AED certification
Class 5 licence, clean abstract, and required checks
Bring compassionate resident support, observation, documentation, and safe-transfer skills to The Salvation Army Health Care Aide work.
