Civil 3D Highway Design Intern

Apply Civil 3D and road alignment skills as an Intern, Highways with Egis in North Bay, Canada. Design transportation infrastructure supporting connected communities.
This internship supports Egis’s transportation infrastructure division and focuses on highway design. You will develop plans, drawings, surfaces, corridors, and alignments using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and OpenRoads. The work includes traffic analysis, safety considerations, field data collection, and collaboration across disciplines. You will also contribute to standards-based design and project documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop highway plans using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and OpenRoads
Create plans, profiles, cross-sections, and engineering drawings
Analyze traffic patterns and incorporate highway safety considerations
Conduct site inspections and gather design data
Prepare cost estimates and tender documents
Requirements:
0–2 years of civil modeling experience
Road alignment, corridor, grading, and surface design experience
Working knowledge of Civil 3D and AutoCAD
Strong coordination, documentation, and version control skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Build highway design experience through Civil 3D modeling, field work, documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination at Egis.
