Part Time Registered Practical Nurse
AgeCare Ltd.
Deliver professional nursing care at AgeCare Willowgrove in Ancaster, Ontario, using geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing knowledge. This is regular part time.
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will provide resident care according to medical requirements and professional nursing practice. You will collaborate with Registered Nurses, physicians, health care teams, and external health care partners. The position also includes directing Personal Support Workers and communicating resident status changes.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement AgeCare policies and procedures with Registered Nurses
Liaise with physicians and health care partners
Notify physicians about significant resident status changes
Direct Personal Support Workers on the care team
Participate in shift reports about resident status changes
Requirements:
Knowledge of geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing
Background in activation, nursing, and personnel administration
Knowledge of applicable nursing home legislation and regulations
Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
Good standing membership with the College of Nurses of Ontario
