Occupational Health Safety Advisor

Shape proactive safety programs at Battlefield Equipment Rentals in Barrie, combining OHS compliance, field audits, and practical operational support.
As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will collaborate with the Health and Safety team, operations, and Health and Safety Committees. Your responsibilities include developing key safety programs, coordinating training, analyzing OHS trends, and supporting safety targets. You will also provide direction to Operational Leaders while ensuring policies and procedures remain effective and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and revise Safety Management System policies
Lead safety programs, training requirements, and execution processes
Coordinate OHS training programs and delivery
Analyze OHS trends and identify improvement opportunities
Support committees, operations, and key safety performance indicators
Requirements:
Two or more years developing and facilitating training
Strong documentation, organization, and attention to detail
Confidence addressing groups of varying sizes
Construction environment and equipment knowledge
Willingness to travel within and around the province
