Support student learning and self-care with CCRES as a Special Education Paraprofessional serving Capital Area Intermediate Unit students. Work follows the academic calendar.
This hourly assignment supports students in Autistic, Emotional, or Life Skills Supports. Provide instructional, behavioral, and physical assistance to individuals or small groups. Guide activities, build organizational skills, facilitate social skills, and monitor progress under classroom teacher and Principal direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide instructional assistance to individual or small groups
Offer behavioral and physical student support
Prompt on-task participation and facilitate social skills
Guide activities and develop organizational skills
Monitor student progress under school direction
Requirements:
High School Diploma required
Two years post-secondary or Associate's Degree preferred
Prior public-school or school-aged childcare experience preferred
Current Pennsylvania child abuse and criminal clearances
Current Pennsylvania Department of Education FBI clearance and TB screening
Bring student support, behavioral assistance, and instructional skills to CCRES assignments with Capital Area Intermediate Unit.
