Registered Respiratory Therapist AMGH

Support cardiorespiratory care at AMGH as a Registered Respiratory Therapist using clinical assessment and respiratory therapy expertise. Monday to Friday scheduling is available.
Alexandra Marine and General Hospital seeks one Registered Respiratory Therapist for its Cardiorespiratory Department. Temporary full-time, temporary part-time, or casual employment is available. The successful candidate may work up to 37.5 hours weekly without evenings, weekends, or holidays. New graduates with related clinical experience are encouraged to apply, with comprehensive orientation and training provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform respiratory and cardiorespiratory diagnostic testing
Manage high flow oxygen and non-invasive ventilation
Operate and troubleshoot cardiorespiratory diagnostic equipment
Assess patients and document clinical information
Provide consultation, education, and therapy troubleshooting
Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
CRTO membership or active registration pursuit
Current BCLS, ACLS, and NRP certification
Respiratory therapy experience in acute care is an asset
Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
Bring respiratory assessment, diagnostic testing, and patient education skills to AMGH’s Cardiorespiratory Department.
