The New Tecumseth Public Library seeks a people-oriented technician for a three-month contract. The work includes advisory services, circulation operations, interlibrary loans, and collection development. Accuracy, tact, independent judgment, and respect for patrons of all ages are essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide reference, information, and advisory services at designated points
Monitor shelving, shelf reading, circulation, and cash register operations
Search and locate patron requests for online interlibrary loans
Perform collection weeding and purchase recommendations as directed
Open and close library branches while handling user complaints
Requirements:

People-oriented approach with demonstrated respect for patrons
Very high degree of accuracy in library work
Tact and independent judgment aligned with library policy
Availability to work at Alliston, Tottenham, and Beeton branches
Transportation to all three library branches
