Teacher Assistant Child Care Centre

Support children’s safety and well-being as a Teacher Assistant at Cochrane Child Care Centre in Cochrane, Ontario, working Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the Child Care Supervisor, you will assist Registered Early Childhood Educators in daily child care activities. You will help prepare and implement programs following Centre policies, procedures, philosophy, program statement, and guiding pedagogical documents. The temporary full-time assignment covers a 12-month maternity leave period, with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise children throughout daily routines
Assist Registered Early Childhood Educators with program activities
Maintain positive communication with children and families
Provide a safe, secure, inclusive child care environment
Attend meetings, workshops, training, and special events
Requirements:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in both English and French
Ability to obtain a clear vulnerable sector check
Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional
Bring patience, communication, and child-focused support to the Teacher Assistant position at Cochrane Child Care Centre.
