AgeCare seeks a Registered Practical Nurse skilled in care planning and resident teaching for regular part-time retirement home nursing.
For over 25 years, AgeCare has supported communities across Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario. In this position, you will provide professional nursing care under established plans and practices. You will support residents’ physical and emotional needs through direct care, therapy participation, and coordinated services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional nursing care according to established plans
Develop and maintain appropriate resident care plans
Provide direct care and participate in resident teaching
Encourage participation in therapy and recreational activities
Participate in discharge planning, consultations, and transfers
Requirements:
Registered Practical Nurse qualification and current Ontario competence certificate
Medication administration training completed through approved coursework
Background in geriatric, rehabilitation, or retirement nursing
Knowledge of nursing and personnel administration
Understanding of relevant federal, provincial, and municipal statutes
Use practical nursing expertise, resident education, and coordinated planning to support meaningful care within AgeCare communities.
