Serve patients and customers at Big Country Hospital in Oyen, using food preparation and customer service skills within Alberta Health Services.
As a Food Service I, you will complete routine food preparation tasks under established standards and procedures. You will support Nutrition Food Service by preparing, portioning, packaging, and serving meals. The work also includes patient meal delivery, equipment cleaning, and maintaining food service areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare food and beverages according to menus and guidelines
Portion and package food items accurately
Assemble trays and deliver meals to patients
Operate and clean industrial food service equipment
Clean dishes, tables, and serving areas
Requirements:
Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
Ability to lift food, supplies, and equipment up to 46 pounds
Ability to push or pull meal carts up to 250 pounds
Ability to stand and walk throughout each shift
Ability to communicate effectively in English
